Diskless Operation of Sardis Technologies ST-2900

The "DiskLess" project allows booting and running various operating systems on the ST-2900 CPU board without requiring any type of disk drive to be connected.

The operating system images are uploaded to the ST-2900 via the serial port and ST-MON's 'L' command. A small RAM-Disk in main memory allows trying out various utilities and other programs that access a disk drive.

The development environment and instructions I used to create the boot images for these operating systems from source code and other sources is rather complicated and specific to my setup, so is not provided. However, the source code for many of the components, and the corresponding simplified instructions for creating a custom boot image for (Nitr)OS-9, are available below.
